About Coach

Being active has always been a value in my life. I was a three-sport athlete at Chisago Lakes High School and continued my athletic career playing football in college at Concordia St. Paul. My older brother was in the military and talked about this new exercise regime called CrossFit he and his friends were doing. So in 2012, in true CrossFit fashion, I started doing insane Hero WODs in my garage with my roommates. After about a year of doing it on my own, I wandered into a few gyms in the Twin Cities looking to join a team motivated to go to the Games. After a few stops, I was able to join Timberwolf CrossFit in 2013. We got a team together that got 1st in the Region and 4th at the 2014 Games. After this, I moved to Rochester for work and continued doing CrossFit and some local competitions. I took a small break from CrossFit and transitioned to competing in triathlons for a couple of years. Now I’ve moved back to where I grew up with my wife and daughter and am excited to coach and help people meet their fitness goals. Whether it’s competing, getting in shape to keep up with kids/grandkids, training for other sports, or just wanting to be apart of a fitness community, I’m pumped to be a part of CrossFit Thousand Lakes!
