My sports and fitness journey, like many people, started off in various youth sports. In high school I was a mutli-sport athlete playing Football and Lacrosse. After high school I attended Michigan Tech and received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. At Tech, I continued to self program and train while playing Lacrosse for the club team. Post college I tired to learn more about how to properly cross training. However I eventually begun to feel defeated by the daily grind of weight room sessions and self programming. Therefore, I thought I would give CrossFit a try. My first CrossFit class was during the Open. Super tough, long grindy work outs. I was amazed and was hooked immediately. I can truly say its changed my life. Not only have I continued to see the gains in my physical performance and be in the best shape of my life, but I have gained so many meaningful relationships from joining the CrossFit community. I was blown away coming to Thousand Lakes by how amazing the community was. It was amazing to see people cheering others on watching people test their limits and hitting PRs. Eventually got into competitions. In 2025 I decided to take the next step in learning and obtained my Level 1 Certificate. Shortly after, I had the honor of joining the other talented coaches at Thousand Lakes Fitness. On top of helping people through coaching classes, I love to help people train outside of class. Whether its an upcoming hero WOD they want to do well in, the Open, or an upcoming competition. I’m always down to help them make a plan, provide support, or being there to help them master a skill. Being part of Thousand Lakes team not only allows me to improve my own skills and technique but allows me to help others with their fitness journey which is equally if not more satisfying.
